To all my fellow women civil engineers, fellow GAD advocates, isang Maligaya’t Makabuluhang Pagdiriwang ng Buwan Ng Kababaihan.

Every month of March marks the observance of the National Women’s Month Celebration. This calls for awareness on gender issues and promote gender equality, an endeavor to ensure changes that must be espoused for both women and men.

This year’s them “We Make Change Work for Women” highlights the empowerment of women, an active contributors to and claimholders of development. The pursuit of development is also anchored on “Malasakit at Pagbabago” or “True Compassion and Real Change” when both women and men are partners to empower each other.

Thus we call everyone in the civil engineering profession to continue working for the elimination of discrimination, exploitation and abuse among women especially in the construction industry, an industry we all know has long been dominated by men. Thus, we encourage our colleagues in the profession especially the men to continue the empowerment of women to achieve gender equality especially in the workplace.

Mabuhay ang mga kababaihang inhinyerang sibil. Mabuhay ang PICE. Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino.
