DAVAO CITY. The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers National Office with PICE Davao City as host conducts a seminar-workshop on CPES Evaluators’Accreditation at the new PICE Davao City Training Center on March 13-15, 2017.

There are 58 participants of the 3-day course with resource persons from the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines – Philippine Domestic Construction Board (CIAP-PDCB) namely Engr. Igmidio J. Aquino, Jr., Engr. Nikki C. Najarro and Miss Arriane Monique D. Derit.

The signing of the memorandum of agreement between the PICE and the CIAP-PDCB last August 2, 2016 forges the organization’s firm commitment towards ensuring quality in the constructed projects. Under the MOA, PICE will organize CPES Evaluators Accreditation Seminars and upon accreditation by the PDCB, they shall form part of PICE’s pool of CPES Evaluators that can be tapped by Government agencies implementing public infrastructure projects as “third-party evaluators”.

Moreover, the conduct of these CPES evaluators accreditation training is a clear manifestation that PICE, really wanted to do its part in nation building through its commitment to “transparency and quality” in the implementation of infrastructure projects both in the government and later on in the private sector.

“With the PICE’s partnership with the CIAP-PDCP, we would be in the forefront of development as we engaged ourselves through PICE in the evaluation of contractors’ performance implementing government infrastructure projects,” a participant commented.
