ALA Bantilan Inducts 2017 PICE-KSA Riyadh Region Chapter BOD and Officers

The 2017 PICE-KSA Riyadh Region Chapter Board of Directors (BOD) and Officers were sworn in into office by Assistant Labor Attaché, Hon. Firma P. Bantilan during the induction ceremony held on January 13, 2017 at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO)  in Sulaimanya, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Inducted into office were the fifteen (15) regular members of the BOD and other ex-officio members and committee chairs headed by Engr. Alvin L. Ceballos, this year’s chapter President.

In her inspirational message, Hon. Bantilan extended her thanks and appreciation to the organization for actively promoting the professional standard of civil engineers in Riyadh and for helping its members enhanced and developed their knowledge through its continuing professional development program by conducting technical seminars and trainings to its members.  She also thanked the organization for the help and support it extended to the distressed fellow OFWs in Bahay Kalinga and encouraged them to continue its community service extension program.

Engr. Joe Niño E. Orapa, the out-going president, in his message challenged the new BODs and Officers to continuously adhere to the organization’s vision of making the Filipino civil engineers in the Central Region of KSA to be global engineers for Nation building.

In his acceptance speech, in-coming President Engr. Alvin L. Ceballos, extended first his utmost thanks to Hon. Bantilan for gracing the occasion and for the continued support of her office in the activities of PICE KSA Riyadh.  He urged his fellow BODs and Officers to support and work with him for the implementation and realization of the 10-Point Agenda 2017 that he drafted and introduced for the success of the organization in achieving its mission of responding to the challenges of globalization for the development of the Filipino Nation.

Executive Vice President, Engr. Joel G. Abaincia, in his closing remarks reminded his fellow inductees to take on their new responsibilities that their respective positions require them to take by putting in their minds and hearts the oath of office they pledged.

The ceremony which was hosted by Engr. Rusmar Ian D. Tijing, chair of the Professional Accreditations Committee, ended successfully with the customary photo ops and a simple but delectable refreshment. – J. Abaincia
