PICE takes pride in collaboration with UNESCO for the Project entitled “Better
Life for Out-of-School Girls to Fight Against Poverty and Injustice in the
Philippines”. This project aims to improve the quality of life for girls living in
poverty line by constructing Girls Education Centres and Capacity Buildings for
Alternative Learning System (ALS). PICE National President, Maria Catalina E.
Cabral, Ph.D. with UNESCO Director and Representative of Regional Science
Bureau for Asia and the Pacific and Cluster Office for Brunei Darussalam,
Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Timor-Leste, Prof Shahbaz Khan signed
the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Project in a simple ceremony
held at Marriott Hotel Manila, Pasay City, Philippines on September 7, 2018.
The Philippines Department of Education Officials headed by Chief Miriam
Coprado, PDO IV Edgardo Palacol, and PDOIII Gerald Magno with Dr. Robert
Licup, PICE 1 st National Vice President Robert Licup and PICE Executive
Director Erdsan Rene S. Suero witnessed the momentous event.
